NOTICE TO BIDDERS

TAKE NOTICE, that bids will be accepted by the Town of Southampton Housing Authority, 57 Springville Road, Hampton Bays, NY until May 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., for: Landscaping and/or Irrigation Services

We are requesting bids for the following work to be done at Hampton Bays Apartments, 57 Springville Road, Hampton Bays, NY  11946. Please provide an estimate for a one year contract (2021) and for a three year contract (2021, 2022, 2023).  If your company is selected, proof of insurance naming the Southampton Housing Authority as additional insured as well as a copy of your workman’s comp coverage will be required.  We are tax exempt.  Work to begin immediately.

Landscaping:

Spring Clean Up–-clean up and removal of winter debris; edge and redefine beds; weeding and cleaning planting beds; Weekly Lawn Cutting and Weeding of Planting Beds – May to November (approximate dates)–-cut, edge and blow off common areas; includes weeding and spraying planting beds as needed; Trim Hedges, Trees, Bushes and Shrubbery--includes perimeter woods line; Fall Clean Up and Leaf Removal–-final lawn cutting; -cut back all perennial plant material; Turf Management Program—materials applied MUST BE pet safe/pet friendly; areas MUST BE flagged at time of application with date– Lawn Fertilization; Limestone Application; Grub Control Application; Fungicide/Disease Control Application; Broadleaf Weed Control for Turf; Grassy Weed Control for Turf

Irrigation:

Open System: Set up controller for the spring, run entire system, adjust rotary and spray heads as necessary.  All zones checked for damage; Mid-Season Check Up:  Adjust controllers for longer days & warmer summer temps and adjust heads as necessary. Late Season Check Up: Run entire system to insure proper coverage and adjust time on controller as necessary and check heads for damage. Close System:  Winterize system by compressing all water from irrigation lines, unplug controller, remove battery & shut water main to irrigation manifold.

The Town of Southampton Housing Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids received, and/or reject any or all bids.
